The beginning, or at least the start of my story, of this wild nomadic journey.

Who am I kidding?
I was born wild, and being nomadic ran deep in my veins.

Hi. I´m Sara. Welcome to My Story

I was born and raised in a small town in Kentucky in the ’80s when life was simpler. I was born in the house that I was raised in and delivered by my father in a holler.
If you are not from the south, you are wondering, what is a holler? A holler is a valley, usually between two mountains or hills. The story goes when you holler up the mountain and it hollers back- hence holler!

Nomadic Yet Searching For Home

This could be my obsession with returning to this lifestyle. We learned about the plants, trees, and animals and how to survive on very little.
We had a greenhouse attached to our house, which I thought was the coolest thing ever, even as a kid. Except we did not have a bathroom—we had an outhouse! This was not cool as a kid.
I grew up with horses, cows, pigs, goats, and chickens. It was perfect. We learned how to kill for food, trap animals, and grow a garden.

I have three siblings. I am the oldest, so I am the responsible one. We were all born at home, except my brother. My parents were hippies, and we lived off the land before it was cool. Needless to say, we were poor and happy.

Born to Run

Seven years ago, I began questioning what I was doing with my life. I had a deep desire to travel, and I quit my six-figure career and learned how to make money online while traveling. Now I work full time as a digital nomad, mostly as a writer, but have done many different jobs to stay on the road.

Starting this new blog.

Writing Online

Three and a half years ago, I was laid off from my remote job as a legal nurse consultant. After that layoff, I vowed never to work for anyone else ever again and began writing online. I have figured out how to make money by writing on online platforms such as Medium, Newsbreak, and Substack.

My experience/background

I am a full-time content creator and nomad turned ex-pat, and I now live in Colombia. I am currently looking to build an off-grid, self-sustainable farm. With this site, I will write and tell my stories while guiding you around Latin America.
